Education History:
B.A., Neuroscience, Boston University

Bao graduated from Boston University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. Following graduation, he volunteered as a research assistant in the Reinhart Lab at Boston University. In this role, he conducted EEG and tACS experiments focused on working memory interference and acquired skills in EEG data processing. He also contributed to experimental designs related to creativity. Currently, Bao is working with Dr. Fried to explore the relationships among neuroplasticity, glutamate metabolism, and diabetes, as well as to assess the clinical safety and potential benefits of direct current stimulation on patients with arterial spin labeling (ASL). Additionally, he works with Dr. Shafi to evaluate the modulatory effects of various rTMS protocols on the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:
Outside of work, Bao enjoys working out, reading, all kinds of music (especially Metal and Rock), and hanging out with friends.

Personal Goals:
Bao is looking forward to learning more about the application of TMS in research and gaining a comprehensive understanding of scientific methods at the Berenson-Allen Center. With these skills, he aims to pursue a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience.
