Janey Chiang

Janey Chiang, B.S.
Clinical Research Coordinator

Education History:
B.S., Psychology and Criminal Justice, Northeastern University

Janey graduated from Northeastern in 2024 with her B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. As an undergraduate, she worked at the Developmental Risk & Cultural Resilience Lab on the BOBA project, the largest NIH-funded study on Asian American teens. Janey also conducted research at the Brenhouse Lab, examining the effects of early life adversity on prosocial behavior. Currently, Janey is working with Dr. Shafi on Test ReTest (a reliability measure study investigating repetitive TMS-induced cortical excitability) and a Neuroelectrics-sponsored study evaluating safety and therapeutic measures in tDCS on focal epilepsy populations.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:
Janey’s hobbies include playing piano, reading, going to the gym, and traveling!

Personal Goals:
Janey is excited to help patients and hone in on her research interests while working at the Berenson-Allen Center. She hopes to earn her PhD in the future and bridge the gap between mental health resources and minority groups as a clinical psychologist.
