Education History:
B.S., Psychology Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience, Northeastern Unviersity
Basma graduated from Northeastern University in 2024 with a B.S. in Psychology and minor in Behavioral Neuroscience. During her undergraduate studies she worked as a research assistant with the Harvard Aging Brain Study, a longitudinal study observing the early impacts and changes of pre-clinical Alzheimer’s Disease. Basma was also involved in research at the Interdisciplinary and Affective Sciences Lab at Northeastern. There she completed a directed study on the relationship between neuroticism, stress, and problem-solving skills. Currently, Basma works under Dr. Stephanie Buss in the Trace-AD study, which examines brain excitability and resting fMRI changes in patients receiving Lecanemab treatment.
Personal Interests / Hobbies:
In her free time, Basma enjoys trying out new workout classes and restaurants, photography, and drawing.
Personal Goals:
At the Berenson-Allen Center, Basma hopes to learn more about the inner workings of clinical research and neurology before pursuing a graduate education in Clinical Neuropsychology.
